How to Attend a Scheduled Virtual Zoom Hearing

If you are scheduled for a court hearing today or need to participate in a virtual hearing with Renton Municipal Court, follow the steps below to access the virtual courtroom:

Method 2 – Enter Data Manually in Web Browser or Zoom App:

  1. Go to Zoom or download the Zoom App.
  2. Enter the appropriate Meeting ID and Meeting Password from the table above.

  • Device Requirements: To appear by video, you will need a device with an internet connection, a video camera, and a microphone (or a headset with a microphone).
  • Check Your Device: Test your device before the hearing using this Zoom Test Link.
  • Username Consistency: Ensure that your username for the video (Zoom) hearing matches the name on the hearing notice you received from the court.
  • Mute When Not Speaking: Keep yourself muted until the court asks you to speak. You can mute/unmute yourself by clicking on the microphone icon.
  • Rejoining the Session: If you get dropped from the Zoom session inadvertently, please rejoin using the same link or Meeting ID.
  • Interpreter Awareness: If a language interpreter is present, be aware that they might occasionally interrupt the court to clarify who is speaking.
