Rollover Crash on I‑82 Injures Two Near Ellensburg

A serious rollover crash occurred Friday afternoon on Interstate 82, sending two Moses Lake residents to the hospital. According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), the incident happened around 3:05 p.m. near milepost 7, roughly nine miles east of Ellensburg in Kittitas County.

A white Ford Expedition traveling eastbound veered off the road, struck a dirt embankment, and rolled over. The 41-year-old driver was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, while the 44-year-old passenger was transported to MultiCare Yakima Memorial Hospital.

WSP is investigating the cause of the crash and noted that drugs or alcohol may have played a role. Charges against the driver are pending.
