Roslyn, Washington. – Three Cle Elum teens were taken to the hospital after their car crashed into a power pole west of Roslyn on Friday, September 15.

According to the Washington State Patrol, at around 9:00 p.m., the car was driving northbound on SR 903 at Horvatt Road when it crossed the center line and the southbound lane before hitting the power pole.

The 18-year-old driver, was taken to Kittitas Valley Healthcare. Two passengers, a 16-year-old boy and another teen whose age is unknown, were flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with more serious injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. It is not known if alcohol or drugs were involved.

The crash closed SR 903 at Horvatt Road overnight, but it has since reopened.

As of November 1, 2023, the two passengers who were taken to Harborview Medical Center have been discharged from the hospital. Their injuries were non-life-threatening.

The Washington State Patrol is still investigating the cause of the crash.
